      Urologists included in the UroLift Center of Excellence (COE) program have achieved a higher level of training with the UroLift System and demonstrated a commitment to care for men suffering from symptoms associated with Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia or BPH. Requirements to achieve UroLift Center of Excellence designation are as follows:

      • Complete the UroLift Proficiency Pathway training (surgeon training program which includes online module training and 15 cases)
      • The physician must have an active web presence including educational information on the UroLift System that is accurate and current
      • The physician must participate in a minimum of two Teleflex Clinical and Medical Affairs faculty-led educational events per year
      • The physician must achieve a high skill demonstrated by completing 60 UroLift System cases in the 12-month period prior to submission for designation. Cases do not include those completed during UroLift Proficiency Pathway training*
      • The physician must submit de-identified pre- and post-procedure IPSS data from a minimum of 30 patients post initial training; the mean improvement in IPSS must be at least 40% compared to baseline average; IPSS data must be from procedures within the 12 months prior to submission for designation*

      Depending on the month of initial designation, COE physicians will be required to complete some of the annual re-designation requirements in order to obtain re-designation for the next year. Annual requirements to maintain UroLift Center of Excellence designation are as follows:

      • The physician must participate in a minimum of two Teleflex Clinical and Medical Affairs faculty-led educational events per year
      • The physician must complete 60 UroLift System cases within the 12-month re-designation period (calendar year)*
      • The physician must submit de-identified pre- and post-procedure IPSS data from a minimum of 30 patients; the mean improvement in IPSS must be at least 40% compared to baseline average; IPSS data must be from procedures within the 12-month re-designation period*

      *Please note, in situations where elective procedures were not allowed due to COVID-19, those months will not be included in the 12-month period for designation or re-designation. Therefore, the assessment period may not be consecutive months.
